Shale Oak Wines

This soft, round, approachable Cabernet Sauvignon is made to drink now. It has wonderful aromas of strawberry-rhubarb pie, dried cherries and black pepper. It’s a virtual riot of berries on the palate, including olallieberry, blueberry, blackberry, and rich strawberry preserves. The time this wine spent in oak barrels is evident in the creamy texture, nice acid balance, and present but softer tannins. A small amout of Grenache adds a little acidity and light fruitness to this otherwise big and dark wine.
